Marwen Mkada is a Swiss-Tunisian who embodies two cultures that significantly shape both his professional and personal endeavors. He is currently studying Tourism Management at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FHGR) while working as a travel consultant specializing in assisting Arabic-speaking guests in Switzerland. In this role, he collaborates closely on a daily basis with both Arab and Swiss clients and service providers—an experience that has established him as a true bridge-builder between cultures.
Motivation
As a Swiss-Tunisian with a profound passion for film, culture, and intercultural exchange, Marwen Mkada considers the AFFZ (Arab Film Festival Zurich) a project close to his heart. For him, Arab cinema is a powerful medium that brings to light stories often underrepresented in the European public sphere. Through his commitment to the AFFZ, he aims to dismantle prejudices, build bridges between cultures, and sustainably establish the festival as a vibrant space for encounter in Zurich.
