Julia Breddermann grew up in Rome and studied ethnology, filmand international lawin Zurich. For many years she has been conducting film education workshops forchildren and young people on a wide range of topics. She is also interested indeveloping new film education formats for school and extracurricular settings.Juliawas on the selection committee of the Castellinaria International Young FilmFestival for several years and has been involved in the cineducation.ch associationsince 2013 to promote film education. Since 2015, she has been a member of theSwissCommission for the Protection of Minors in Film, where she regularly screensnewly released films. In addition, she is currently working as a German teacher for pupils with a migration background, where she also uses and develops film and itscontent as ateaching method.
