Corinne Siegrist-Oboussier
Corinne Siegrist-Oboussier was born in Aarau in 1956 and studied languages and literature in Basel. She became involved in cinema through the traditional Basel film club Le Bon Film and has been active in film society and cinema work for over 40 years. Other functions in the film industry include the presidency of Focal, the foundation for continuing education in film (1995-2002) and the vice-presidency of the Swiss Federal Film Commission (1991-2002). In 2002, she acquired a postgraduate degree in Cultural Management from the University of Basel. From 1987 to 2005, she directed the Stadtkino in Basel, and from 2005 until her retirement in 2021, the Filmpodium in Zurich. As director of the Filmpodium, she has been involved in five editions of the Arab Film Festival Zurich since 2012.
