Nuwar, the Palestinian father of bubbly teenager Amira, has been in prison since before she was born. She is convinced that she was conceived with his sperm, smuggled out from his prison cell. When tests reveal that Nuwar is infertile, her beliefs are shattered. Her family implodes, and Amira tries to still the gossip in the community by setting out to find her biological father and her true identity.
