Conversations with Siro

„August 4, 2020, an apocalyptic explosion at the port of Beirut: 200 casualties, 6,500 wounded, entire neighbourhoods of the city left in ruin.

A tragedy, once again. Siro is an Armenian artist born in Lebanon in 1933 to whom I am linked by a long friendship, made evident through this fragmented film, between Beirut and Paris.

A film about mourning, loneliness, exile but also about joyful moments stolen from History in a dying Lebanon. “ (Dima El-Horr)
